This image was based on an illustration. Features, such as eyes, eyebrows, lips and cheekbones, were etched with individual body shapes. In the studio photographer Andreas Smetana recreated the illustration in parts by shooting groups of naked talent as separate pieces of the puzzle.

Robert Lepage Goes Massive in Quebec City
Bunge Grain complex in Quebec City is made up of 81 individual silos 30 meters tall. In celebration of Quebec’s 400th Anniversary, artist Robert Lepage used the complex as a screen for an incredible site-specific motion picture called The Image Mill. The film tells the story of Quebec’s 400 years through video, pictures, and sound. I expected a cheesy patriotic movie. But what I saw was subtle and elegant. The video, which shows 10 minutes of the 40 minute film, gives a good idea of what the movie was like. It shows how Lepage made innovative use of the contours of the silos, turning them into bullets, candles, a printing press, cigarettes, etc, and how he turned the entire complex into other kinds of buildings completely, such as a factory and an airport.

Nas Protest
Nas showed up at the MoveOn.org/ColorOfChange.org protest of Fox News today at the network’s NY headquarters and gave a short speech. I expect footage of his remarks to be online shortly. After refusing to accept the groups’ petition demanding an end to Fox’s “racist smears against the Obamas and other Black Americans,” the network offered the following statement through a spokesperson.
“Fox News believes in all protesters exercising their right to free speech, including Nas, who has an album to promote.”

Report: Beijing bars told to ban black people during Olympics
Bar owners near the Workers' Stadium in central Beijing say they have been forced by Public Security Bureau officials to sign pledges agreeing not to let black people enter their premises.

Seems as though our boy Jay-Z is gearing up to release a new album, a follow-up to 2007’s American Gangster. And it seems as though Jay-Z has signed on Timbaland to take on the helm of the project.
Timbaland will be hitting Jay-Z off with a more “worldly,” international sound, which definitely should be an interesting task for Hova to take on.

106 and Drama
Last week Rocsi walked off the set of BET 106 & Park because Terrence was running at the mouth the whole show . I don’t watch BET like that and 106 & Park has been garbage since they hired the both of them, so this rumor is probably a publicity stunt to get higher ratings. However, I did receive an email from someone who works over there with some new info
"Rocsi has been put on indefinite leave for her stunt last week. If you didn’t know she walked off the stage on Friday after Terrence continued to harass her. She will not be making any appearances on the stage for the next 2-3 Weeks. And rumor is around here that they plan on replacing both of them by the end of the year.."
